Position Overview:
The Quality Assurance Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring that products, services, and processes meet or exceed established quality standards. This role involves developing and implementing quality assurance strategies, overseeing inspection and testing procedures, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain a high level of quality across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Assurance Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive quality assurance strategy aligned with the organisation's goals and industry standards. Define quality metrics and performance indicators to monitor and improve product and process quality.
Inspection and Testing: Oversee inspection and testing procedures to ensure products meet specified quality standards. Collaborate with testing teams to ensure accuracy and reliability of testing methods.
Quality Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of quality control processes, procedures, and results. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with production, engineering, and other departments to address quality-related issues and implement solutions. Provide guidance to teams on quality improvement initiatives.
Training and Education: Develop training programs to educate employees on quality control processes and best practices. Foster a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement.
Audits and Compliance: Plan and conduct internal and external quality audits to assess adherence to quality standards. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and certifications.
Quality Reporting: Generate regular reports on quality metrics, trends, and improvement initiatives for management review. Communicate quality performance to stakeholders and recommend actions for improvement.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
Proven experience in quality assurance, quality control, or a related role.
Strong understanding of quality management systems, methodologies, and tools.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Salary: £35,000 to £60,000 or more, depending on the aforementioned factors.
