Location: Colchester (Hybrid – 3 days per week)

The Opportunity

We are recruiting for a Head of Account Management on behalf of a highly respected, market-leading insurance business specialising in auxiliary products and personal lines.

With over two decades of success and significant backing driving its next phase of growth, this organisation offers a unique opportunity to step into a senior, high-impact leadership role.

You’ll be working with a broad network of major insurers, MGAs, brokers, and affinity partners, supporting a large and established customer base.

The Role

This position will take ownership of key client relationships while leading the account management function to drive commercial performance and long-term growth.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading account strategy to maximise growth, retention, and client value

• Building senior relationships with key stakeholders across major insurers and financial services firms

• Driving commercial performance by identifying and converting new opportunities

• Ensuring service excellence while maintaining regulatory compliance (FCA / IDD)

• Leading and developing a team, fostering a high-performance culture

About You

• Senior experience within insurance account management, ideally across auxiliary and personal lines

• Strong commercial mindset with a proven ability to grow accounts

• Demonstrated leadership experience managing and developing teams

• Confident engaging and influencing senior stakeholders

• Solid understanding of UK insurance regulations (FCA / IDD)
