Key Responsibilities
Strategic Business Development & Sales
• Develop and execute a targeted business development strategy to drive revenue and expand the company’s market position in the FinTech sector.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, establishing a strong sales pipeline with a focus on long-term growth.
• Lead the full sales cycle, from prospecting and lead generation to negotiation and deal closure.
• Work closely with internal teams including marketing, product, and compliance to ensure seamless execution of business development initiatives.
Partnership & Relationship Management
• Build and nurture relationships with key industry players, including FinTechs, banks, payment providers, processors, and other financial institutions.
• Engage with C-level executives and key stakeholders, demonstrating the value of the company’s innovative financial solutions.
• Develop strong external networks and represent the company at FinTech conferences, industry events, and networking opportunities.
• Maintain a consultative approach to understanding client pain points and developing tailored solutions to meet their business needs.
Market Research & Competitive Analysis
• Stay ahead of emerging trends, regulatory changes, and market dynamics within the UK and European FinTech space.
• Conduct in-depth research on competitors, customer needs, and industry developments to refine business strategies.
• Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making and revenue forecasting.
Negotiations & Financial Planning
• Develop and present business proposals, financial models, and revenue forecasts to potential partners and clients.
• Structure and negotiate complex commercial agreements, ensuring alignment with company objectives and compliance standards.
• Collaborate with legal and finance teams to finalize contracts and manage deal execution processes efficiently.
Qualifications & Experience
Required Experience
• 5+ years of business development or sales experience in FinTech, payments, banking, or financial services.
• A strong network within the FinTech ecosystem, including banks, digital lenders, and payment providers.
• Demonstrated success in meeting and exceeding sales targets, closing high-value deals, and driving business growth.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with multiple stakeholders.
