Position Overview:

The IT Manager is responsible for overseeing the organisation's information technology systems and infrastructure. This role involves managing IT operations, leading technology projects, and ensuring the security and efficiency of the IT environment. The IT Manager collaborates with cross-functional teams to align technology solutions with business objectives.


Key Responsibilities:
  • IT Strategy and Planning:

Develop and implement an IT strategy that aligns with the company's goals and supports growth. Collaborate with senior management to identify technology needs and opportunities.

  • IT Operations Management:

Manage day-to-day IT operations, including network administration, system maintenance, and user support. Ensure the availability, security, and reliability of IT systems and services.

  • Technology Projects:

Lead the planning, execution, and management of technology projects, from inception to completion. Coordinate project teams, allocate resources, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

  1. Team Leadership:Build and manage a skilled IT team, providing mentorship, performance evaluations, and professional development. Foster a collaborative and innovative IT culture.

  2. Vendor Management:Evaluate and manage relationships with technology vendors, ensuring delivery of quality products and services. Negotiate contracts and agreements to optimise vendor relationships.

  3. Cybersecurity and Data Protection:Implement and maintain cybersecurity measures to protect IT systems and data from threats. Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and industry standards.

  4. Technical Support:Provide technical support to end-users, troubleshoot issues, and resolve IT-related problems. Implement efficient helpdesk and support processes.

  5. Technology Trends and Innovation:Stay updated with emerging technology trends and recommend innovative solutions to improve business processes.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

  • Proven experience in IT management or a related leadership role.

  • Strong knowledge of IT systems, networks, security, and infrastructure.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
