My client is looking to add to their team as part of their succession planning to ensure a successful handover of a sizeable client portfolio is managed in good time.


They've been proactively looking after their clients in the region for over 50 years and are looking for an Account Executive who is comfortable in managing a portfolio whilst achieving both retention and growth targets (New clients).


Working closely with the Account Handlers you will be the face of the business to our clients and be comfortable being in the office or out and about with the clients.


On a day-to-day basis you’ll be:

  • Dealing with clients on a proactive basis to ensure their needs are dealt with.

  • Building and maintaining effective professional relationships

  • Handling and responding to enquires proactively to maximise both renewal retention and portfolio growth targets.

  • Assisting with mid-term adjustments, renewals, new business quotations

  • Proactively developing a network of introducers / development of a pipeline of new business to ensure new business targets are achieved.

  • Liaising with and acting as the point of reference for the Account Handlers on smaller cases

  • Complete all administration and paperwork in accordance with Company and FCA Procedures

Your experience:

  • You’ll have a solid grounding within Commercial Insurance and are comfortable in dealing with business from £200 to £50,000 across the commercial sphere

  • Exposure to Professions Risks would be beneficial

  • A track record of consistently achieving growth/retention targets

  • A well-developed skill set that includes strong communication, negotiation, time management and IT skills coupled with the ability to prioritise tasks


A full driving licence required.

Requirements

  • Educational Background: A high school diploma or equivalent is typically required for entry-level positions in the insurance industry. Some roles may require a relevant degree, such as in insurance, business, finance, or a related field. Additional certifications or professional qualifications may also be advantageous


  • Insurance Knowledge: Familiarity with personal lines insurance products and services is essential. Candidates should have a basic understanding of different types of insurance policies, coverage options, and industry practices.


  • Customer Service Skills: Personal lines insurance roles involve dealing with customers on a regular basis. Excellent customer service skills are crucial for effectively assisting clients, addressing their needs, and resolving inquiries or issues.
