About the Role
As the Registered Manager for a domiciliary care service based in Salisbury, you will be at the helm of a vital community resource dedicated to supporting individuals to live independently and safely in their own homes. This role demands a blend of compassion, leadership, and a deep commitment to upholding the highest standards of care.
In this capacity, you will direct the daily operations of the service, focusing on delivering personalised, client-centered care that respects the dignity and preferences of each individual. Your leadership will ensure that care services are not only compliant with Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards but also exceed them, thereby fostering an environment of excellence and trust among clients and their families.
Key responsibilities include the recruitment, training, and continuous professional development of a dedicated team of care professionals. You will ensure that all staff are fully trained and competent in their roles, promoting a culture of high performance and continuous improvement. Staff management also involves conducting performance reviews, offering constructive feedback, and encouraging an ethos of empathy and care in all client interactions.
Financial acumen is critical in this role as you will be responsible for managing the budget of the care service, ensuring efficient resource allocation, and maintaining the financial sustainability of the operation. This includes oversight of funding streams and ensuring that services are delivered cost-effectively without compromising on quality.
Quality assurance will be a constant focus, requiring you to implement robust systems to monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided. Regular assessments and audits will help identify areas for improvement, and you will lead the charge in implementing changes that enhance service delivery and client satisfaction.
Community engagement is also a significant aspect of your role. You will build and maintain strong relationships with local healthcare providers, social services, and other stakeholders to ensure a coordinated approach to care. This network will support a holistic approach to client needs, from medical care to social activities, enhancing their overall quality of life.
This position offers the opportunity to lead by example, demonstrating a commitment to integrity, care, and excellence. You will not only manage the operations of the domiciliary care service but also champion the rights and needs of the elderly and vulnerable in the Salisbury community, making a meaningful difference in their lives every day.
