Business Development Manager (UK)
Salary: £35,000 to £70,000 + uncapped commission
Position Overview:
The Business Development Manager plays a pivotal role in driving growth and revenue for the organisation by identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and expanding the company's client base. This role involves a combination of market analysis, relationship-building, and strategic planning to achieve business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Market Analysis and Strategy:
Conduct market research to identify trends, potential clients, and competitive landscape.
Develop and implement effective business development strategies to capitalise on opportunities.
Lead Generation and Prospecting:
Identify and target potential clients through research, networking, and lead generation activities.
Build and maintain a robust pipeline of potential business opportunities.
Client Relationship Management:
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to drive repeat business and referrals.
Engage in consultative selling by understanding client needs and offering tailored solutions.
Partnership Development:
Identify and establish strategic partnerships and collaborations to enhance business growth.
Negotiate and finalise partnership agreements that align with company objectives.
Sales Presentations and Proposals:
Prepare compelling sales presentations and proposals to showcase the company's value proposition.
Address client needs and objectives through customised solutions.
Negotiation and Deal Closure:
Lead negotiations with potential clients and partners to secure new business contracts.
Collaborate with legal and finance teams to finalise agreements.
Sales Reporting and Analysis:
Track sales metrics, analyse performance data, and provide insights to inform business development strategies.
Continuously refine approaches based on data-driven feedback.
Networking and Industry Engagement:
Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to expand professional connections.
Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and emerging market shifts.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
Proven experience in business development, sales, or a related role.
Strong understanding of business development strategies, sales techniques, and negotiation tactics.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
Salary: £35,000 to £70,000 or more, depending on the aforementioned factors.
