We are now seeking an experienced, innovative, passionate, professional Sous Chef to work in a privately run gastro pub in Staffordshire and lead the hard working and dedicated team.


As a Sous chef you will be responsible for managing, training, developing and most of all motivating and inspiring a team by leading from the front. 


This is a high-volume operation, where our food is prepared fresh each day, so this role needs a Sous chef who can not only support our Head Chef but is well organised, hardworking and loves being part of a passionate team. 


Numbers can easily reach over 200 covers per day so you need to be dynamic and have experience of catering in busy operations.


Essential Requirements:

  • 2 years+ experience in a similar role.

  • Ability to create menu ideas from scratch.

  • A passion for delivering great food and an acute attention to detail ensuring that every dish that leaves the kitchen leaves a guest satisfied.

  • Will have excellent food knowledge and be passionate about fresh and local ingredients. A creative and ambitious approach is a must.

  • You will be responsible for training and motivating the team ensuring a smoothly run kitchen.

  • The applicant must have their own transport due to the location of the business.

  • 4 day working week available
