Human Resources Manager (UK)


Salary:

£30,000 - £60,000 depending on experience


Position Overview:

The Human Resources Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing all aspects of the human resources functions within the organisation. They are responsible for managing and implementing HR policies, procedures, and programs to ensure effective and efficient workforce management. This role involves fostering a positive work environment, addressing employee concerns, and contributing to the overall success of the organisation through strategic HR initiatives.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. HR Strategy and Planning:

Develop, implement, and manage HR strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives. Collaborate with senior management to ensure HR practices contribute to the company's growth and success. Forecast HR needs and trends, and plan accordingly to attract, retain, and develop talent.

  1. Recruitment and Selection:

Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including job postings, sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding. Collaborate with hiring managers to define job requirements and candidate profiles. Ensure compliance with equal opportunity and diversity standards throughout the recruitment process.

  1. Employee Relations:

Address employee concerns, grievances, and disciplinary matters in a fair and consistent manner. Promote a positive work environment by fostering effective communication and conflict resolution. Monitor employee satisfaction and engagement, and develop strategies to improve the overall employee experience.

  • Performance Management:

Oversee performance appraisal processes, including goal-setting, regular feedback, and performance reviews. Provide guidance to managers on performance-related matters, including identifying development opportunities.

  • Training and Development:

Identify training needs, develop training programs, and coordinate professional development initiatives. Support career development and succession planning efforts for employees.

  • HR Policies and Compliance:

Develop and maintain HR policies, procedures, and practices that are in line with UK employment laws and regulations. Ensure compliance with data protection and privacy regulations, such as GDPR.

  • Compensation and Benefits:

Manage compensation and benefits programs, including salary structures, bonuses, and employee benefits. Stay informed about market trends to ensure competitive compensation packages.

  • HR Administration:

Maintain accurate HR records, databases, and employee documentation. Generate reports and analyse HR metrics to provide insights for decision-making.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

  • CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development) certification is highly desirable.

  • Proven experience as an HR manager or a similar role, preferably within the UK.

  • Solid understanding of UK employment laws and regulations.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.


Salary:

£30,000 - £60,000 depending on experience
